As we are slowly transitioning to Spring, so too is our house! We are starting off with a few little switch outs with our accent pieces in the family room. ❤️
We started with a new rug from Target. Out went our old white and red stripe rug for a nice neutral cream and gray geometric woven number. I love how there are different shades of gray and cream in each braid throughout the entire rug. The texture feels amazing and soft under our feet!
We went back and forth about what to replace the Scrabble Board with, but in the end we decided to keep it for now. We have a Tic Tac Toe and Chess Board, but Noah likes to bat the pieces off!
Sometimes when updating I find that shopping my house can give me some pretty good items to use! The wood garland is from a dish in our sitting room, and the ceramic white jar is from the Living Room. The shell dish is new from Studio McGee at Target. I saw it and HAD to have it. Stephen is not the biggest of fans of it... but I convinced him.
Some of the big changes we made were switching out the wide candle dish with the shell vessel, changing the white urn on the coffee table to a stone dish with eucalyptus, and updating the fireplace. I would have to save that was the biggest change for me and I love it!
We kept this little guy here. Got to love a blue and white owl and grandma's books. =)
We picked up some brass (although they lean more copper) candle holders from Amazon, and I relocated the print from our bathroom to the mantle.
The faux grass was from Stephen's office. I am looking for a more decorative pot, but this will do for now.
We originally had this stone bowl behind the sectional (it used to be Chloe's nap bowl), and relocated it to the coffee table. Stephen did the arranging of the eucalyptus... and I think he has a hidden talent for it!
And last but not least, we kept the faux greenery flowing on the side table near the door. It is a little cramped right now, but we will be upgrading our sectional soon and its not as long as the current one.
I really like the small updates we did to the Family Room. I think the sectional upgrade will be the icing on the cake. I love the pillows on the sofa already, but who knows... those little gems might be next for an old switcheroo!
Until next time!
