Heyo! This has been a room a long time coming. The sitting room off of our primary bedroom has had a few different functions over the years as an office, storage, and gym. Now we are taking it back to its roots as a simple sitting room where we can enjoy a nice glass of wine, a book, and hangout with the fur babies.
The before… clean slate ready for some reinvention!
The room had already been recently refreshed with Snowed In by Valspar in eggshell a few months ago. We also updated the window treatments with white cotton slub curtains that almost look like linen.
We have had our Radley loveseat from Macys for about 5 years now. Looks as new as the day we bought it! The art above is a Homegoods find that I drew colors out of as my inspiration for the makeover.
We bought the Dagget Chairs from Target over the summer and they have been a go to for relaxation for both us and the cats. I love the ivory fabric and light wood.
The black ceramic jewel box is from our trip to Cancun, and the Jonathan Y lamps give a nice mid-century costal vibe to the room. That picture is about 9 years old. =)
Loving the blue plaid pillows on the chairs! Feather inserts are a must in our house.
We do love our collection of small clocks. Yes, we have phones, but something about the ticking is relaxing. The end table is from Target, we bought it a few years back and they have been one of my favorite #targetfinds.
The tray is a new release from Hearth & Hand with Magnolia from Target. You all know I love my DW candles!
I have a thing for textiles from Amazon. The blue and white pillow reminds me of my grandmothers china, and we know I can't turn down a neutral plaid.
And obviously, the room is Bridgette approved. She loves her pillow!
So all, what did you think of this little make over? The room was pretty empty beforehand with just the loveseat and curtains in there. It was calling for a make over the last few months and I finally answered! I have definitely found myself hanging in there almost daily now. Granted, its the cat's living room, but they don't mind the company. =)
Until next time!
Here are some of the items in the room. Unaffiliated. =)
