I can’t believe I forgot to write about this! It was a fun filled two days of prepping, priming, painting, polying, and styling!
When we first redid the media cabinet we transformed it from an orange wood tone to a cool and moody charcoal gray. We loved this color for almost three years before we decided to change it up.
Now you know me, I love white. White furniture, white walls, white cabinets… so it was bound to happen that the cabinet would go white.
The one too thing about white is that it makes everything else stand out! With the dark gray we had to be careful with how we styled it, making sure nothing disappeared into the abyss!
Needles to say, the white made it bright and airy, while also allowing us to try some different styling.
I mean… wowza!!
I am somewhat torn between loving the gray and loving the white. Both will have their moments and each one speaks differently in the space. So far, it’s been a bit with everyone!
We used Valspar Stainblocking Bonding Primer, Valspar Cabinet & Furniture Paint in Du Jour 2x strength, and Polyacrylic.
While I am not sure how long it will stay white, I am pretty sure I’ll be able to have fun styling it differently over the next few years!
Until next time!
