Mood Board: Rustic Modern Dining Room

Updated: Sep 29, 2021

Is the summer heat getting to you yet? So much that you are like me, enjoying my inside spaces even more now? Well, if we are going to spend our time inside with glorious air conditioning, we might as well have beautiful spaces to enjoy it!

One of the rooms I love spending time in is our dining room. Happy hour, fine meals, or just shooting the ”you know what”, a dining space is a place to sit back and enjoy the day. In the space above, I wanted something moody and retro. You know, leather and iron with a hint of vintage and wood.

I mean, what else says moody and retro like a black bust of a classical woman!? I love how it is a different spin on the usual white marble that makes it a stand out piece. Shes clearly looking away from my carb count for the day.😜

If you have a black thumb, this faux palm makes a perfect green addition to the space. Instead of centering it on the table or cabinet, I decided to use it as an offset accent piece to give height to the room.

And what can we say about this table? It’s rustic, it’s rough, and it’s got bolts! The color is subdued and the side bolts add a metallic flair that ties in with the metal of the chair legs.

And I love these chairs. I actually own these and have them in my breakfast nook. They are wonderful in that they are kid friendly, easy to clean, durable, and oh so stylish! I just had to share because these are one of those things where their quality far exceeds the price!

Now who said a dining room was just for eating? I chose this bar cabinet as a sideboard in order to put some dual function in the room. You can serve up a three course meal and a lemon drop martini! Yes please!

And can we all just stand back and appreciate this chair? I’ve seen it in person and it’s just as classy and sexy online as it is in person! Yes multiple materials we. are. fans!

So there you have it kiddos, another dream board that maybe someone will want to make into reality! Did you find anything you want to incorporate into your own home? How about those sconces or the area rug? Need some blue art? There are so many wonderful jumping off points for this room! I’ve attached links to the items below for your browsing pleasure. 😊

Until next time!
